trust_short_logoThe Trust

The Trust is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (Reg No: 66911) web portal that aims to make it easy, affordable and risk free for individuals and corporates to find and contribute to charities throughout South Africa and other African countries.

The Trust provides a network for reputable and accountable South African charities who have been qualified through ongoing due diligence - irrespective of size, purpose or geographical location. Charities affiliated to The Trust are expected to adhere to strict reporting and accountability guidelines in order to continue receiving support. Every cent of every rand donated to our causes is tracked, accounted for and distributed to charities with maximum efficiency and transparency.

The Trust was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the Bafana Bafana Social Project as it incorporates 13 of the most vulnerable social categories under which the approved charities form part of. It was important for the  South African National Football Team to be seen as supporting and giving back to as many causes and making a difference in as many lives as possible. Bafana Bafana also needed to be reassured that the money raised was going to be accounted for and it would benefit those whom this campaign is ultimately trying to serve.
We are priviledged to have been chosen as one of the organization that will benefit from the United 4 Bafana Bafana wristand campaign. Our charities are thrilled at this opportunity and are grateful to the team and to the South African Football Association for coming up with this worthy initiative and making a different in the lives of those less fortunate. Thank you Bafana Bafana.”
The Trust and its charities are United 4 Bafana Bafana .

Let's Play

Let’s Play is a corporate social responsibility initiative developed by SuperSport and partners in response to a National need. Our children are becoming alarmingly inactive.

Let’s Play aims to elevate awareness of our social situation and to introduce and encourage play, activity and sport in schools and at home. This is done through advanced media campaigns and close associations with organisations that target children and introduce activities to schools, homes and communities. SuperSport’s Let’s Play initiative is now confirmed as one of the country’s most visible and successful CSI projects, now entrenched in schools, suburbs and townships across the country, while BMI research indicates that 56% of all South African adults are aware of Let’s Play. To get an idea of its incredible scope, consider that.

Let’s Play engages with approximately 680 000 children every week, plus 720 coaches spread across 997 schools in nine provinces. Bafana Bafana feels strongly about the youth and children of South Africa because in them lies the hopes and dreams of a better future for our beautiful country. The association with Let’s Play is one very close to Bafana Bafana’s hearts.
Vaughn Bishop, who heads up the campaign, summed up the rationale behind Let’s Play: “Children are faced with many negative influences due to a lack of social engagement and opportunities for play. I believe that sport can make a significant difference in lifestyle and behaviour change and provide both hope and purpose to the children of South Africa,” he said. “It is clear, however, that no single individual or organisation has the ability to resolve the great challenges facing our children and, in this context, the importance of building partnerships and promoting strategic corporate investment in children’s development is crucial to making a lasting difference. As such we are very proud to partner the Bafana Bafana social project.”
